Any job seeker, attracted by an autonomous activity, endowed with real entrepreneurial capacities and with a good project can benefit from NEF assistance as part of :  

  • Self-employment, or
  • Micro-enterprise 

This assistance can cover various aspects (feasibility studies, training, financing, advice, follow-up).

To benefit from financing, you must first of all :

  • Register with the NEF ( Our Agencies )
  • Pass an orientation interview  
  • Have an "idea" for a project and entrepreneurial skills


SECTORS OF INTERVENTION

The NEF works in both urban and rural areas, in:

  • Activities production
  • Service provisions
  • Activities distribution

The following items are excluded from NEF programmes :

  • Import and direct sale of products
  • Transport activities
  • Cultural activities

 

PROCEDURE FOLLOWED BY THE NEF

  • Reception of the promoter and its project; Interview with a counsellor;
  • Analysis of the project pre-feasibility;
  • Pre-selection of the projects presented;
  • Preparation of the final study of the projects selected and analysis of profitability.

 

SELF-EMPLOYMENT FUNDING
(Activity generating only the employment of its promoter)

  • Final selection of projects (Credit Committee);
  • Training of the promoter in SME/SMI management;
  • Financing and installation of the promoter;
  • Follow-up of activities;

 

Conditions for self-employment loan

  •  Maximum cost of the project 5.000.000
  • Personal contribution (Nature and/or money) 20 per cent
  • Maximum duration of the loan 3 years
  • Interest on the loan 6 per cent
  • Deferment granted according to the activity 3 to 6 months

  • Developer's life insurance
  • Fire insurance (depending on activity)
  • Pledge of equipment
  • Moral guarantee
  • Certificate of ownership (agricultural pj.)    


GUARANTEES REQUESTED
(Optional)

  •  Land title
  • Mortgage
  • Term account, etc


MICRO-ENTERPRISES FUNDING
        (Activity generating at least two direct and stable jobs).

  • Applications sent to an Employment Counsellor for study, analysis and opinion;
  • NEF pre-selection committee: final selection of projects;
  • Training of the promoter in SME/SMI management;
  • Financing and installation of the promoter by the NEF;
  • Follow-up of the promoter by the NEF.


Conditions for microenterprise loan

  • Maximum project cost 20.000.000
  • Personal contribution 20 per cent
  • Maximum duration of the loan 5 years
  • Interest on the loan 6
  • Deferment granted according to the activity 3 to 12 months
